Porn sculptures, why not?

Sculptures placed outdoors with images like a woman masturbating, another doing a fellatio or a couple having anal sex in the frequented Marina of Valencia have generated controversy in Spain. Conceived by local artist Antoni Miró inspired by ancient Greek ceramics, they are a preview of an upcoming exhibition at a new cultural center in Valencia’s Marina, said a spokeswoman for the consortium that manages the space in the port city of eastern Spain.

But the sculptures have been criticized by those who believe they are not appropriate for a walk frequented by children like the Navy of Valencia. The conservative association Foro de la Familia stated that “the exhibition in public streets of these figures that represent fellations, masturbations, with exposed genitals and reproducing diverse sexual practices, with high explicit sexual content and of very dubious taste”, could violate the law for the protection of minors.

Good or bad for kids?

Children are exposed to “scenes unsuitable for their age,” the organization said in a statement. The artist rejected the criticism in statements to the Spanish press, explaining that his sculptures are inspired by ancient Greek pottery containing erotic or sexual scenes. In his opinion, most people see this as normal and rather than disturbing children, the images can annoy “backward” parents, such as https://www.sirporno.xxx/xxx/.

For many years, our society has been debating and litigating against an issue that, because it has not been agreed, is generating a series of traumas in society that affects us in general terms. This is the update on Sexual and Reproductive Health, which has been lost, which does not interest or which does not matter to those who oppose the inclusion of the subject in the curriculum, to maintain mental backwardness, which each year generates hundreds of students of both sexes immersed in responsibilities that are ours.

We all understand that there is a high deficit of attention and follow-up in Panamanian homes. It is not because of the apathy of parents. It is generally due to the lack of quality time they must give their children. The many responsibilities and limitations in which our society is debating, have an enormous impact on this.

There is almost no time for channels of communication to be narrowed in the home. Young people learn about sex by listening to neophytes, predators, people interested in harming or affecting the sexual mental formation of young adolescents or through social networks, where all kinds of sexual depravity lurk. There are different variants in this sense. All of them generate traumas in the future formation of our youth.

For this reason, for some time now, as a society, we have been trying to reconcile efforts to modernize the standards that regulate the transmission of knowledge on sexual and reproductive health in our youth. I understand that there must be conflicting opinions, some out of hypocrisy, others out of a sense of figuration, others that claim to defend gender, others that try to extract the subject of sex education in schools, leaving it only to parents and the great majority that base their opposition on the terminology that should be used to transmit knowledge.
